Limay Polytechnic College (LPC), in partnership with Mitsumi FAB, conducted a Mental Health Awareness Seminar on Thursday, attended by students and members of the institution’s administration to discuss personal well-being and strengthen campus relations, held at the LPC Audio Visual Room, Nov. 27.

LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon opened the program with his welcome remarks, emphasizing the need to address mental health concerns in schools.

β€œRecover yourself, explore more,” Dr. De Leon said.

Keynote speaker Dr. Norberto D. Sombiluna Jr., pastor of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church, underscored that mental health should not be limited to discussions of crises or negative experiences.

He stressed the importance of understanding daily habits and behaviors. β€œHow we read, how we act, how we handle stress,” he added.

Dr. Jayvie Villazov, Assistant Professor at Bataan Peninsula State University, also delivered a message focused on strengthening positive mental health.

β€œYour mental health is equally important as your achievements,” she reminded participants, highlighting the value of balance and self-awareness.

An interactive activity allowed participants to share their experiences and coping strategies, adding a more personal and practical perspective to the discussion on mental health.

Meanwhile, LPC and Mitsumi FAB signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to formally strengthen their partnership.

Present during the MOA signing were Dr. De Leon, QUALITI Officer Mark Anthony Banda, Academic Director April Cruz, Information Technology Education Department Head Cheyser Charrese Gatchula, and Guidance Director Dominic Primero, along with representatives from Mitsumi FAB.

Mr. Primero expressed gratitude to Mitsumi FAB and the speakers for their continued support and emphasized the importance of such partnerships in promoting student welfare.#
