Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Friday commemorated the first death anniversary of its founder, the late Mayor Nelson C. David, during the βLPC Founderβs 1st Death Anniversary Commemoration,β held at LPC Ground, November 28.
The highlight of the event was the Unveiling of Mayor NCDβs Monument, attended by his son, Mayor Richie Jason David, along with Vice Mayor Marie Grace David, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, LGU Limay employees, family members, friends, and supporters of the former mayor.
Bataan Provincial Governor Joet S. Garcia also attended the event to extend his gratitude and support, as well as to honor the legacy left by Mayor NCD.
LPC officials said that the commemoration aimed to honor NCDβs transformative contribution to LPC, noting that he laid the groundwork for the institution to provide greater educational access to the youth of Limay and nearby towns.
Mayor Richie David expressed gratitude to LPC and the community for continually honoring his fatherβs legacy.
βAng monumentong ito ni Mayor Nelson David ay magsisilbing paalala ng kanyang malasakit at tapat na paglilingkod hindi lamang sa LPC, kundi sa bayan ng Limay,β he said.
Moreover, the program included testimonial messages, Wreath Laying, and a video tribute showcasing NCDβs achievements and legacy.
The monument, now installed inside the LPC campus, was opened to the students, LPC staff, and visitors following the ceremony.
