Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) on Tuesday continued its Midyear Development Training Program with a full-day session focused on strengthening mediation skills for inclusive and effective conflict resolution, held at the LPC Audio Visual Room on December 2.
The session began with opening remarks from LPC Finance Director Mr. Ariel T. Vibar, who also delivered the statement of purpose, outlining the dayβs objectives.
Under the theme βEmpowering Mediation Skills for Inclusive and Effective Conflict Resolution,β the morning program featured Foundations of Mediation, covering core concepts, ethics, and competencies.
LPC Community Development Coordinator Julie Ann Diaz led discussions on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and the fundamentals of mediation.
Jesica Marata, Head of the Office of Student Affairs and Discipline (OSAD), discussed the role of the mediator. She later returned to present the Stages of Mediation, while Diaz facilitated the segment βMediation in Action,β providing participants with real-world scenarios and hands-on approaches to conflict resolution.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Rodalie C. Dineros, Head of the Tech-Voc Education Department.
Meanwhile, the third day of the Midyear Training Program, themed βEnabling Sustainable Development in Education through Wellness, Evidence-Based Practice, and Peacebuilding Advocacies,β will continue today, December 3. #
