LPC Library innovates operations and services

In celebration of National Book Month, LPC prides itself for the new library's innovative version veering away from the traditional system of operation to make library usage more fun, exciting and purposeful.
As such, it is envisioned to become a sustained innovative library facility that can assist faculty and students in their continuous learning, knowledge inquiry, research and total growth and development.
Thus, it continuously provides a conducive reading and research atmosphere with adequate facilities, equipment and resources to complement classroom learning.
To note:
1. It occupies space for student and faculty conferences, discussions and group studies.
2. There is a section for internet exploration and DOST Starbooks kiosk for research.
3. Students are allowed to have brain-based games to relieve stress.
4. It organized Book Lovers' Club that engages students to different fun-filled activities and learning opportunities.
5. It executes community extension and outreach activities that lead to introducing and promoting reading (Pabasa Program).
6. It assists researchers for information and literature seach.
7. The library personnel partners and collaborates with professional organizations, agencies and institutions for library development.
8. The library personnel conducts library visit and benchmarking of best practices to select best renowned libraries.
9. It intensifies the Faculty-Library Committee and the Advisory Board for consultation, assessment and reviews.
10. It establishes consoria for training capacitation, library promotion and resource sharing and binding opportunities.
11. It features fun-filled library activities and newly purchased books for purposive, study and leisure reading.
12. It accommodates library clientele with utmost comfort and convenience, while serving simple goods, souvenirs and coffee drinks.
13. It regularly recognizes individual and departmental top library users and it posts monthly library utilization reports.
14. It conducts relevant programs and activities to entice reading, researching and library usage that complement classroom learning.
15. It upkeeps continuous purchase and outsourcing of library sources and learning materials.
16. It conducts regular evaluation of services and reviews policies for continuous quality improvement.
17. It works on library digitization system and outsources access to online materials and references.
18. It ensures and maintains high value clientele satisfaction-based services and efficient operation among assistive and cordial staff.
19. It operates 8:00am to 7:00pm from Monday to Saturday to serve bigger and wider range of student populace.
20. It extends services and touches the heart of everyone by reminding them on self-care and mental health care, inspiring them to live up their lives meaningfully and appreciating their worth and essence as individuals.
21. It sets communication lines through bulletin board postings, displays, official facebook page, library orientation, discussion, instruction and academic integration.
The library information and activities are available at LPC official fb page. Through it all, we may not have that big space and library facility that we desire to serve at its best. However, it is not only size and space that matter most, but the efficient mechanisms and purposeful programs and activities and people who have the ability to touch lives and create impact on every library client/user that would take it all meaningfully. We at LPC believe on the pivotal role that a library plays and the power it may bring and share to every teacher and learner.
